HEMAPIRE

Ngā tikanga whakamahiTerms of service

Last updated 24 October 2026

These are the terms for using the Hemapire apps (Mahi ā Whānau, Pātaka, Tiaki Taiao, and any new apps as they are added) and this website. By using an app you agree to them. They are short on purpose.

Te utuCost

The Hemapire apps are made in Aotearoa New Zealand. They are free to use for now, and there are no ads.

The apps run on servers and services that cost money to keep going, and those costs grow as more whānau use them. If demand on those resources increases, a cost may apply to some apps or features, such as parts of Mahi ā Whānau. If that happens:

Some features use your own Google or Microsoft account, and those companies’ own terms apply to their services.

Te uru maiWho can use them

Kia atawhaiBe kind

Use the apps the way they are meant to be used: to plan, share and learn together. Please do not:

Ō taongaYour content stays yours

Photos, lists, events and anything else you add belong to you. You let us store and show them only so the app can work for you and the people you share with. Pātaka keeps photo files in your own OneDrive. See the privacy policy for the details.

Te tango pūketeRemoving accounts

We may pause or remove an account that is used to cause harm or that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will talk with you, or the Kaitiaki or parent of your whānau, first. You can stop using an app and ask us to delete your account at any time.

Ngā panonitangaThe apps can change or stop

We are a small team, and the apps are provided as they are. We work to keep them running and your information safe, but we cannot promise they will always be available or free of mistakes. Features may change, and an app may one day close. If an app is going to close, we will give as much notice as we can so you can save what you need, such as downloading your photos from OneDrive.

As far as New Zealand law allows, Hemapire is not responsible for losses that come from using, or not being able to use, the apps. Please keep your own copies of anything precious. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under New Zealand law that cannot be taken away.

Te tureNew Zealand law

These terms are governed by the law of Aotearoa New Zealand. If we update them we will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
